About Me
After working at a brewery for almost five years post-college, I eventually felt a need to make a move. While I loved pouring beers, I felt I had a lot more to offer and skills to flex. I ended up discovering the UX Design bootcamp through Prime Digital Academy in Minneapolis and instantly felt that this was my next step. After reading about what the User Experience program had to offer, I was convinced that this was the perfect role to mix all of my background experience into one.
Graduation day at Prime Digital Academy - the hardest I have ever worked for a hoodie. Shoutout to my instructors Bryce, Kyre, Ange and the entire Prime staff & network!
I sort of stumbled into my dream job as a UX/UI Designer and it has been so rewarding. Combining visual design, problem solving and collaboration was the challenge I needed to feel that creative spark and passion while at work. This role perfectly blends my technical background, customer service experience, my business and communication studies, and also my creative abilities.
I am constantly pushing myself to learn new things and get better at the things I spend time doing. This has been extra fun in UX/UI design as the landscape is always changing and evolving and there is never just one answer for tough problems.
Outside of work I am passionate about music. I budget as much as I can to go see my favorite bands perform and also play the drums in a couple of bands with my friends. I also love watching hockey - I manage four fantasy hockey teams and also spend a lot of time with my wife and pets watching Survivor or the latest hit show.
